Visit Zachariah’s Acres during the week and you will encounter students from several high school transition programs, young adults with special needs, volunteers, and community partners working together.
Participants have fun while learning important life skills such as punctuality, positive attitude, follow-through, work ethic, accomplishment, enthusiasm, and teamwork. Fresh fruit and vegetables are used within the classrooms, donated to local food pantries, sold at community farm markets, and used for our Community Supported Agriculture program. At Zachariah’s Acres, our guests thrive because they are encouraged to be the authors of their own lives.
“My students bloom at Zachariah’s Acres! Just when we think we have had the best experience, we go back and it tops our last one! ”
— Gerilyn (Special Educator)
