In October 2011, banquet tents were erected on a farm field in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Through basic promotion, and because of an unmet need, 224 guests enjoyed hay wagon rides, pumpkin bowling, and a pheasant and quail release. Fun, nature-based experiences resulted in a memorable day for all children with special needs, siblings, parents, and volunteers.

After an enormous amount of praying and planning, acreage was acquired, then Zachariah's Acres was born. The mission was revealed by God, our Chairman of the Board: Connect children with special needs, and their families, to the miracles of nature so they may know their Creator. With growing faith and intentional work, tens of thousands of special guests have enjoyed God's artistry in nature and realized they are part of His plan.
